Mood Swings - September 18th, 2009

I think many of us go through this and that is mood swings whether it may be for a short period of time and less severe or severe. Of course many things have an effect on our mood such as certain situations, lack of sleep, depression, and while I’m sure there are many more, I think one of the big ones are the stress. I think depending on your stress level, your mood will also be likely to change according to your stress level. I mean, at least for me, when I have lots of stress, I tend to have more of a “sad” feeling than being happy.

And I did hear from someone that some levels of stress are needed because they help us to improve our performance level. However, I think it’s kind of important to notice that some of stresses can be good while others more towards unnecessary or harmful. So what can you do about mood swings? I think stress control is probably the one that would help because as mentioned, increased stress level can cause some mood swings. While there are various ways to deal with stress, some people try to avoid the problem or conflict but I heard it’s healthier to confront it and solve that problem.
